PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL · NONPROFIT-FRIENDLY

Where Hickory takes flight—and every artifact tells a story.

B & B Media Solutions proposes a long-term creative partnership with the Hickory Aviation Museum—beginning with a complimentary hero video and one exhibit story video as our investment in this relationship. As funding becomes available, we'll expand into additional exhibit stories, guided audio tours, and an immersive VR flight experience.

Partnership Launch
Complimentary
Hero video + 1 exhibit story — valued at $7,700–$9,000.
Phase 2
More exhibit videos
Expand the story library as funding arrives.
Phase 3
Guided audio tours
Accessible learning for every exhibit and visitor.
Phase 4
VR flight simulator
Signature WWI / WWII aviation experience.
Congratulations on the grand opening of the new $22M facility (June 1, 2026). We're excited to help tell the next chapter.
THE OPPORTUNITY

A mission-aligned way to modernize interpretation—without changing the heart of the museum.

The Hickory Aviation Museum already has the most important ingredient: real artifacts and real stories. Our proposal adds lightweight, grant-friendly technology layers that help visitors understand what they're seeing, why it matters, and how it connects to the community.

We understand the museum has just completed a landmark $22 million facility investment. That's exactly why we're offering the first phase—a hero video and one exhibit story—at no cost. We want to earn this partnership, not wait for a budget line item.

Increase learning + retention

Short, story-first media helps visitors connect names, artifacts, and historical context—supporting educational outcomes for all ages.

Improve accessibility

Audio tours and captions support different learning styles and can better serve visitors with visual impairments or reading fatigue.

Boost dwell time + repeat visits

Interactive content encourages guests to stay longer at exhibits, return for new stories, and bring friends and family.

Strengthen community engagement

Highlighting local pilots and aviation heritage creates pride, intergenerational connection, and stronger donor/member affinity.

Museum signals we're aligning to
Education + youth opportunities

The museum emphasizes aviation education and opportunities for the next generation—our media layers reinforce that goal.

Visitor experience signals
Self-guided tours + groups

The museum supports self-guided touring, groups, and field trips. Audio + video provides consistent interpretation at scale.

Community support signals
Volunteer + membership-driven

Engaging storytelling helps volunteers, members, and donors feel the impact of their support—and invites new supporters in.

PARTNERSHIP LAUNCH · COMPLIMENTARY

We start by investing in the relationship—not waiting for a purchase order.

We know the museum just completed a historic $22 million facility investment and is staffed by dedicated volunteers. Rather than wait for budget to free up, B&B Media Solutions will produce a hero video and one exhibit story video at no cost to demonstrate our commitment, our quality, and the value of this partnership.

Why we're doing this

The Hickory Aviation Museum is a community treasure. We believe in its mission and want to be part of its next chapter. By delivering real, high-quality work upfront, we prove our capabilities and build a foundation of trust—so when funding arrives for Phases 2–4, the museum already has a proven partner ready to go.

What we ask in return

In exchange for the complimentary production work, we ask for recognition and partnership positioning that helps B&B grow alongside the museum.

Sponsor Recognition

B&B Media Solutions featured as an official media sponsor on the museum’s sponsor wall, website, and printed materials.

Credited Partner

"Produced by B&B Media Solutions" credit on all complimentary video assets, including the hero video and exhibit story.

Case Study Rights

Permission to use the museum partnership and produced content in B&B’s portfolio, demo reel, case studies, and marketing materials.

Preferred Vendor Status

First right of refusal for all future media, video, and technology projects as the museum secures funding for Phases 2–4.

The long game: This partnership positions B&B as the museum's go-to media partner. When grant funding, donations, or operating budget becomes available for Phases 2–4, the museum won't need to search for a vendor—they'll already have a trusted team with proven results and deep knowledge of the collection.
PAID PHASES · AS FUNDING ALLOWS

When the museum is ready, the roadmap is waiting.

The complimentary Partnership Launch builds the foundation. Phases 2–4 expand from there—each independently fundable through grants, donations, or operating budget. There's no pressure and no timeline. When funding arrives, we're ready.

Phase 2

Beyond Phase 4 — A platform built to grow

The complimentary Partnership Launch and four-phase plan are just the foundation. The production template established by the first exhibit story makes adding new videos fast, affordable, and grant-friendly. As the museum grows its collection or identifies new stories worth telling, additional video batches can be produced and installed using the same workflow — no reinvention needed.

Phase 5+: Additional Exhibit Story Videos

Expand the video library beyond the initial 3 stories (1 complimentary + 2 from Phase 2). Each new batch covers more pilot memorabilia, aircraft histories, or community stories — using the same proven production template.

  • 3 additional exhibit videos per batch (2–5 min each)
  • Same cinema-grade production quality and editorial process
  • New TVs and media players added as the collection grows
  • Each batch is independently fundable through grants or donations
Seasonal & Rotating Content

Create special-edition videos tied to events, anniversaries, or new acquisitions — keeping the museum experience fresh for repeat visitors.

  • Veterans Day, Memorial Day, or anniversary spotlight videos
  • New acquisition highlight reels
  • Oral history interviews with local veterans and families
  • Holiday or field-trip-themed content rotations
Estimated cost per future batch: Each additional set of 3 exhibit story videos follows the same pricing structure as Phase 2 ($6,500 – $7,000 per batch of 2, or $9,500 – $10,000 per batch of 3), with potential volume discounts for multi-batch commitments. Additional TVs and media players can be added at roughly $630 per display station.

Move to implementation
Program alignment
This project supports museum education, public history interpretation, and youth engagement by translating artifacts into accessible, story-first learning experiences.
Sustainability
Phase 1 establishes a repeatable production template and a reliable playback system that can be expanded exhibit-by-exhibit over time.
Evaluation
We can help define simple success measures (e.g., dwell time observation, visitor survey prompts, educator feedback) to demonstrate outcomes for funders.
NEXT STEPS

Let's start with the walkthrough—everything else follows from there.

The Partnership Launch is complimentary and has no budget requirement. All we need is access to the facility, a point of contact for historical accuracy, and a walkthrough to identify the best first story. From there, the museum can leverage the finished videos to support Phase 2 funding when the time is right.

What we need from the museum
Story inputs
Access to pilot memorabilia details, exhibit notes, and any existing research or oral histories.
Accuracy review
A museum point of contact for historical accuracy approvals and tone guidelines (family-friendly, educational).
Space + infrastructure
Confirm exhibit locations for TVs/kiosk placement and identify the room intended for the VR experience.
Visitor flow goals
Target audiences (families, veterans, school groups) and any priority exhibits for the first story video.
Implementation steps
1
Walkthrough + exhibit priorities
30–60 minute walkthrough of the new facility to identify the first pilot story and ideal filming/viewing points.
2
Creative treatment + script outline
We deliver a short outline and tone reference for museum approval before full scripting of the hero video and exhibit story.
3
Partnership Launch production
Film, record, edit, and deliver the complimentary hero video and first exhibit story video.
4
Deliver + evaluate + plan ahead
Collect visitor/educator feedback and build a clear case for Phase 2 funding when the museum is ready.
